AZ (Tractor-Trailer Driver Training)

MELT- TRACTOR TRAILER DRIVER PROGRAM

Effective July 1, 2017, the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has implemented mandatory entry-level training for commercial Class A truck drivers.
All new drivers attempting the Class A road test on or after July 1, 2017 will have to successfully complete the mandatory entry-level training course
before attempting their Class A Road Test. Mandatory entry-level training will be delivered by: Private Career Colleges (PCCs) registered under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 in Ontario.

CLASS “A” LICENSE– TRACTOR TRAILER

You are qualified to drive any tractor-trailer combination and may also drive vehicle in Class D and G. This Program is a Vocational Program & approved under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. 

Tractor Trailer MELT Program

Are you unemployed or looking for a new career in an industry that is in demand? Many companies are looking for professional truck drivers that have graduated with their road tests Class AZ or DZ licences (for driving tractor trailers and large trucks).  

This comprehensive MELT 104 hours program is the Mandatory program that was introduced in 2017 and can only be offered throught recognized authorities approved by MTCU and Ministry of transportation. This program includes 4 to 5 weeks of full time training of in class, in yard and in truck instruction that are set by the Ministry of transportation.

Duration: 104 Hours over 5 Weeks

Tractor-Trailer MELT Course Outline:

This program includes both classroom and practical training. The hands-on training takes place in the yard and on the road using a tractor-trailer,
while under the instruction of a qualified trainer. Students will also engage in various classroom activities to help prepare for a career as a professional driver.

BZ (School Bus driver training)

SCHOOL BUS TRAINING COURSE

Class B: You are qualified to drive any school purposes bus and may also drive vehicle in Class C, D, E, F and G
Minimum Requirements

Applicants can apply for a CRJM Check at their local police service or through an authorized criminal record check provider.

CZ (Coach Bus Driver Training)

COACH BUS TRAINING

A Class C licence is needed to drive any bus with seats for more than 24 passengers, but not a school-purposes bus carrying passengers.
It allows the driver to operate vehicles included in classes D, F and G, but not motorcycles.

FORKLIFT TRUCK TRAINING

Are you looking to get approved to operate a forklift truck or in a search out for a new profession as a forklift operator? Then, you are at the right place. Here, at JAZ Forklift School, we can provide you with one on one in-depth hands-on training about Forklifts and how to perform your duties & Procedures while at work. Forklift Operators are in high demand in Ontario and have lots of work related handling jobs within the industries.

We are open Mon-Sat(10am – 6pm) and flexible with your appointment time (even after hours). Sunday with appointment only.

After successful completion of the Training, We will certify you, provide you with a photo license and assist you with Job Placements.

AIR BRAKE

Air Brake

This course is designed to teach students about the air brake system, its components and how to maintain an Air brake system. This course is required for anyone driving a truck or bus with an Air brake system. It has two parts, theory and practical. It runs for 2 consecutive days (12 hours course), which makes students familiar with air brake systems. Our Instructors are certified/approved by Ontario Safety League.
